Hey, friend! I’m Alison.
I’m a homeschooling mama of five, founder of Pathfinder Press, and author of Made to Fly Free and Baby Adventurer. For the past 16 years, I’ve been learning (and loving) the wild, grace-filled adventure of homeschooling.
Along the way, our family discovered another unexpected adventure: writing and publishing children’s books together! It began with my Baby Adventurer in 2017, followed by Hope’s Mr. Skandinoovy Takes an Exciting Trip to Florida in 2019. Since then, Hope has illustrated Stinky Stiggy and written/illustrated I Saw Bigfoot in 2024. Most recently, I wrote Made to Fly Free, a gentle picture book that encourages children to grow with courage, patience, and wonder. And we’re just getting started!
Through Pathfinder Press, my hope is to encourage other families to discover the joy of creating stories together. Whether you’re dreaming of writing your first children’s book or simply looking for wholesome books to share with your family, I hope you’ll find encouragement, practical resources, and a little inspiration here.
